The IND/EX conference will take place in Downtown Chicago, primarily at the Chicago Cultural Center and the Gene Siskel Film Center.

when should i arrive?

If traveling by plane, we recommend arriving on Monday, June 24 as conference activities begin around 9AM on Tuesday, June 25. Events will wrap up by 2PM on Friday, June 28. For attendees interested in staying through the weekend, please note there could be informal events organized based on interest and capacity such as field trips, screenings, or group outings.

where is everyone staying?

There will not be any conference-sponsored activities taking place at hotels. All conference-sponsored activities will take place at one of our official venues. You will spend the majority of your conference at the Chicago Cultural Center or the Gene Siskel Film Center, located several blocks from each other in the Downtown Loop of Chicago.

how can i find a roommate/hotel share?

If you’re seeking a roommate or hotel share, we recommend posting on the FFA Member Hub, the Art House Convergence Google Group, or via social media. The conference organizers do not endorse or take responsibility for any roommate pairings or hotel shares that are arranged via those platforms.

How do I get there?

Flying into Chicago?

Both O'Hare (ORD) and Midway (MDW) offer public transit to the Downtown Loop. Please plan for an hour of travel time on public transit or via private taxi/rideshare.

Amtrak/Metra 

Chicago is easily accessible from many parts of the Midwest using Amtrak or Metra. Be sure to check those out as affordable alternatives to driving or flying.
