  • What does my registration cover?

Your registration includes access to all events, workshops, sessions, screenings, and parties during the conference.

It also includes a boxed lunch each day, coffee breaks, and a Happy Hour at the end of each day. Evening activities will be included too, but food and beverage is not included.

  • How much should I budget for the conference?

Your badge covers all the events and activities, plus lunch and a Happy Hour each day.

You will need to budget for breakfast and dinner on your own, as well as transportation to move about the city as needed. The conference activities will primarily take place at the Chicago Cultural Center and the Gene Siskel Film Center, which are located several blocks from one another.

  • what is your covid protocol?

While the CDC status of COVID-19 as a public health emergency was lifted in September 2023, this illness (and others) remain prevalent and we have tools and awareness to protect ourselves and our communities.

In following CDC guidelines, IND/EX is not requiring masking or vaccination for attendance at the Independent Film Exhibition Conference, however we strongly encourage you to ensure your vaccination status is up to date. We also strongly encourage COVID testing before traveling to the Conference, and testing each morning of your Conference attendance.

We ask all attendees to help us create a supportive environment for anyone wearing a mask, and we encourage all to feel free to wear a mask if needed to protect the health of the community, themselves, or the health of loved ones. IND/EX will have masks available for attendee use upon request. If you feel ill or have been recently exposed to COVID-19, please stay home.
